Cycling to work has been great, but I do often wonder if any of our city leaders have ever tried to cycle in our city.

Case in point: After decades, our only cycle and pedestrian bridge dumps you off directly onto the street where you are left to hope that a tourist actually lets you cross. (They almost never do.)

Then, you sneak across the symphony where you are left to cross another street where no one yields.

Then you sneak across a park. The park is sometimes closed, so you have to cross through the front drive of a hotel.

Then and only then are you back on an unprotected bike lane.
